All work and no play can make Josh a dull boy.
As we move closer to the Canadian Football League season, teams' coaching staffs are getting everything in order.
For the Saskatchewan Roughriders staff, amidst their work, they broke down into a Coaches Olympic competition with a series of events. New offensive assistant coach Josh Donnelly told the SportsCage it didn’t take long for him to find his calling.
“Cornhole.”
Donnelly says that the fun competition set a tone for the entire staff.
“We had a busy week of work, and I think Mace wants to have fun and enjoyment at the forefront of the organization. He decided we should take a little bit of a break, so we took an afternoon and did a couple of activities.”
“Everybody was assigned a game or some activity, and you got to represent your country. We went back and forth, and one of the games that I got to play (was Corhole), and I was lucky enough to get a couple in the hole there.”
Does Donnelly have a future in the sport?
“Definitely not a pro, but we play it in the summer all the time, and I like to mix it up with the buddies. I wouldn't say I'm a pro, but you get it in every once in a while.”
