Football fans, how often have you heard, "Well, if I were Commissioner?" We know that Stewart Johnston will have that opportunity when he officially takes over as Canadian Football League Commissioner later this month.

The job may be Johnston’s, but that didn’t stop Darian Durant from letting us know what his plan would be on the SportsCage:

“First and foremost, I think he should do a game of the week. I think he should take one game, the best game of the week, maybe even have the fans vote on it so you can get a little bit more engagement. Treat that game like a Grey Cup game, have the extra cameras, try to get as many fans involved, have the festivities, maybe bring an artist out to perform halftime or before the game, the BC Lions have shown how successful bringing artists out could be.

Durant added, “I think if you could get the fans vote for game of the week and turn that into a big spectacle and try to get as many viewers in on that game as much as possible, I think that's a start.”
