The Regina Pat Canadians road to a national championship goes through Kenora, Ontario.

This weekend, the Pat Canadians will take on the Winnipeg Wild, Kenora Thistles and the Thunder Bay Kings, vying for a spot in the Telus Cup national under-18 AAA championship.

The Pat Canadians opened the event with an impressive 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Wild. Underage phenom Maddox Schultz scored a goal and added an assist in Regina’s victory.

The Pat Canadians are back on the ice Friday night when they take on the host Thistles. Kenora opened the event with a 2-1 loss to Thunder Bay.

The Telus Cup men’s national under-18 AAA championship will be held in Chilliwack, British Columbia, April 21-27.
