The countdown is continuing towards Canadian Football League rookie, The Saskatchewan Roughriders are gearing up to head north to Saskatoon for their camp.
The same holds true for other CFL teams getting set to play, and Arash Madani told the SportsCage he’s curious to see what happens in Edmonton.
“They have revamped their entire defence, through free agency, and specifically, on their defensive line, to get after the quarterback. You think about what they went out and did, signing Jake Ceresa and Robbie Smith. Both won a championship with the Argonauts. Royce Meche also comes over there.”
“How do you win in pro football? You get to the quarterback and you win at the point of attack,” Madani added. “The old defense wins championships thing and that's where Edmonton has seen a lot of improvement. So, there's going to be a lot of talk about Trey Ford and all those kinds of things, but to me, it's the new and improved Elks defence that I'm really going to be keeping an eye on.”
