The Estevan Bruins surrendered four power-play goals Saturday night in a 7-2 loss to the Melville Millionaires.

The two teams traded goals early, with Raiden Zacharias scoring 98 seconds into the game for Melville and Odin George replying with his first SJHL goal 86 seconds later for the Bruins.

Simon Parini scored on a Melville power play 80 seconds after George's goal, and Jadon Iyogun and Ryan Roethke added goals with the man advantage before the midway mark of the period to give Melville a 4-1 lead.

Rorey Elson scored 2:09 into the second for Estevan, but goals by Leo Jewitt and Roethke – the latter on another power play – put Melville up by four. Parini scored into an empty net during a Bruins' power play late in the second to round out the scoring.

Liam Hallet started in goal for Estevan and made seven saves on 13 shots. Benjamin Polhill came on in relief and made 17 saves.

Loic Morin (11 saves on 13 shots) and Nick Genette (five saves) shared Melville's goaltending duties.

The Bruins will be back on the ice on Sept. 27 when they host the defending SJHL champions, the Melfort Mustangs, starting at 7 p.m.
