David Willberg

David Willberg is the editor of the Estevan Mercury. He has more than 20 years of experience working in the newspaper industry in southeast Saskatchewan.
David graduated from Trinity Western University in April 2000 with a bachelor of arts in communications, and moved to Estevan in September 2000 to work for Southeast Lifestyles newspaper, where he was the lone full-time reporter for most of his tenure. In 2008, he became the editor for Lifestyles.
He joined the Estevan Mercury in 2015, after the newsrooms for Lifestyles and the Mercury were merged. He served as the editor for Lifestyles and a reporter for the Mercury.
In 2017, he became the editor for the Mercury.
Along with his work at the Mercury and Lifestyles, David also wrote sports for Weyburn This Week from 2008-2010, and he is currently the editor for the Carlyle Observer.
