Western Women's Canadian Football League team, Regina Riot name Claire Doré head coach

The Regina Riot have hired Claire Doré as the team's new head coach. 

Doré played for seven seasons for the Riot after being an original team member. She was twice selected to play for Team Saskatchewan and Team Canada during her playing career. After hanging up her cleats, she became a coach with the Riot. 

Doré has been a head coach in the past, leading the Regina Victorias, the women's under-18 Saskatchewan team and Balfour High School. She's been on the coaching staff for Team Canada's national women's football team while spending time with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Riot play in the Western Women's Canadian Football League. Regina's top rival in the league: the Saskatoon Valkyries. The Manitoba Fearless, Lethbridge Steel, Calgary Rage and Edmonton round out the seven-team league.
