Football: Rams @ University of Alberta Golden Bears

Regina went into this game with a .500 record at 2-2 after their first four games of the season and in those two losses the Rams only lost by six points combined.

This week the Rams had their first off week, if you will, on the Canada West schedule. Regina went into Edmonton on Friday and left after a lopsided loss 30-6. With the loss, the Rams fall to 2-3 in the Canada West this season.

In the first quarter, the Bears had a field goal followed by a 73-yard touchdown by running back Matthew Peterson and that is all the Golden Bears would need to cruise to victory. The Rams were held off the scoreboard until late in the fourth quarter when Noah Pelletier connected with Renzel Arinaza on a 25-yard passing play. The convert failed and this one went into the books as a 30-6 victory for the U of A.

The next game for the Rams is on Saturday, September 28. That's when Regina faces the Bisons, once again in Winnipeg, kickoff is at 4 p.m.
