Ben Laurette turned aside all 23 shots he faced as the Melville Millionaires earned a seventh straight win after a 2-0 victory over the Kindersley Klippers on Saturday night.
Gaborik Carlson and Jadon Iyogun provided the offence for Melville as they moved into sole fifth place in the SJHL standings.
Klippers netminder Brett O’Halloran made 28 saves in the loss.
The Millionaires wrap up their six game homestand next weekend taking on the La Ronge Ice Wolves on Friday before hosting the Flin Flon Bombers on Saturday night.
BRUINS 5, TERRIERS 6
Carter Briltz’s power play goal with 57 seconds left held up to be the game winner as the Yorkton Terriers beat the Estevan Bruins 6-5 to capture their fourth straight win.
Vinay Junek also scored twice for the Terriers who got singles from David Coyle, Jaron Desnoyers and Jye Zawatsky.
Hayden Pimm, Ewan Rennie, Kaelan Whittingham, Steven Streranka and Chase Holt chipped in offensively for the Bruins.
The Terriers return to action on Monday afternoon in Humboldt against the Broncos.
