The USports/CCAA Canadian curling championships are underway in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Sixteen men’s and women’s teams from across the country are competing for national titles, including the University of Regina’s Chloe Johnston and fellow Cougar curler Josh Bryden.
After the opening three draws of the event, Bryden, the defending champion, is still looking for his first win after 9-4 and 7-2 setbacks to Wilfred Laurier and the University of Calgary on Tuesday.
Johnston’s record is 2-1 after splitting their games on Tuesday. In the morning draw, Johnston edged Dalhousie University 7-6. However, they fell 4-2 to Wilfred Laurier in the afternoon draw.
Both teams are back on the ice on Wednesday for a pair of games.
Bryden will take on the Memorial Seahawks and the University of New Brunswick, while Johnston plays McMaster University and St. Francis Xavier.
