Three Weyburn Red Wings among SJHL Player of the Week recipients

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced their Player of the Week recipients and the league's hottest tea,  the Weyburn Red Wings snagged three out of the five Player of the Week awards.

 Leading the charge is 20-year-old sensation Jaxson Ruthven, crowned the SJHL's MVP of the Week.

With an impressive eight points in just three games, including three goals and five points against the Yorkton Terriers.

 Joining Ruthven in the spotlight are his teammates, defenceman Max Chakrabarti and goaltender Angelo Zol.

Chakrabarti took home the Defenceman of the Week honors, while Zol was unstoppable in net, earning the SJHL Goalie of the Week title after securing three straight wins. 

Humboldt’s Jacob Strizzi was named Forward of the Week, Kindersley Klipper's Brett O'Halloran earned Rookie of the Week, and Caden Drury of the Melville Millionaires took the spotlight as the Sask. Player of the Week.

Drury, proudly hailing from Carrot River, is in the zone with a nine-game point streak, leading the SJHL with a remarkable 19 points.
