The Weyburn Red Wings continue their surge over the last month, while the Yorkton Terriers continue to find ways to win hockey games as the parity continues across the province

The SportsCage SJHL Power Rankings are created by having contributors independently rank each team from No. 1 to No. 12, then averaging out the scores.

1. Weyburn Red Wings (11-4-1)  -

The point streak has hit 12 games now for the Red Wings with no indication of looking back after an impressive two-game sweep over Kindersley over the week.  Offense continues to be there but the dynamic duo in goal continues to be the team's backbone.

This Week:  Nov. 9th vs. Estevan

Top Scorer: Ethan Dekay - 20 points in 13 games

2. Melfort Mustangs (11-3-0) -

A quiet week headlined by a midweek victory over the Bombers in an SJHL Final rematch. Currently have given up a league-low 30 goals on the season and continue to take care of business.

This Week: Nov. 8th @ Flin Flon

Top Scorer: Logan Belton - 19 points in 14 games

3. Yorkton Terriers (10-7-0) +2

Another week and another couple of victories for the Terriers as they continued their winning ways in two neutral site games.  Adversity continues to not be a problem with contributions continuing up & down the roster and a team that won’t play another home game until Nov. 19th.

This Week: Nov 8th & Nov. 9th @ Battlefords

Top Scorer: Jaron Desnoyers - 23 points in 16 games

4. Humboldt Broncos (9-5-1) +2

The Broncos responded pretty nicely over the weekend after a midweek defeat to La Ronge with a convincing victory over Melville on Saturday. Broncos have scored a league-high 66 goals early this season.

This Week:  Nov. 9th @ Melville / Nov. 10th @ Kindersley

Top Scorer: Jacob Strizzi - 21 points in 13 games

5. Melville Millionaires (10-5-1) -2

A little stumble for the Moneymen over the past week with a 1 and 2 record. Is it a slight early-season hiccup for the Mils or is it something to worry about? Time will tell with another busy three games in four days weekend on the horizon.

This Week: Nov. 8th @ Estevan / Nov. 9th vs. Humboldt / Nov. 11th @ Weyburn

Top Scorer: Caden Drury - 26 points in 16 games

6. Battlefords North Stars (9-4-2) -2

A late-game comeback on Saturday night helped avoid a weekend sweep against a hungry Notre Dame Hounds team that continued to be a tough out.  A couple more games at home on the weekend before heading out on a busy stretch of seven on the road.

This Week: Nov. 8th & Nov. 9th vs. Yorkton

Top Scorer: Nikita Ivashchenko - 18 points in 15 games

7. Kindersley Klippers (9-7-0) -

A couple of tight losses to the red-hot Red Wings increases the losing streak to three in a row for a team that has a crucial month of November with nine of 11 games at home as they look to make their way back atop of Nutrien Division.

This Week: Nov. 10th vs. Humboldt

Top Scorer: Zakery Anderson - 17 points in 16 games

8. La Ronge Ice Wolves (8-9-1) +1

The Ice Wolves took on a daunting four game stretch away from home and delivered six out of a possible point with their only defeat in their neutral site home game in Churchbridge to wrap up the trip.  Their 20-year-old vets are starting to heat up with three of them taking SJHL Player of the Week accolades.

This Week:  Nov. 8th & Nov. 9th vs. Notre Dame

Top Scorer: Mason Bueckert - 16 points in 18 games

9. Flin Flon Bombers (6-9-1) -1

Just a loss to the defending champion Mustangs was the only matchup on the docket for a Bombers team still looking for consistent effort and the question of who’ll take over the crease is still very much in the air.

This Week: Nov. 8th vs. Melfort / Nov. 9th @ Nipawin

Top Scorer: Koen Senft - 14 points in 16 games

10.  Estevan Bruins (4-6-1-1) -

First year Bruins forward Kent Moors continues to be a bright spot for a young Bruins who's played the least amount of games so far at twelve. A busy month for a team that needs to get results to not be too far behind from the rest of the pack.

This Week: Nov. 8th vs. Melville / Nov 9th @ Weyburn

Top Scorers: Kent Moors/ Luke Hogan/ Ewan Rennie - 13 points each in 12 games

11. Notre Dame Hounds (4-12-1) -

An inexperienced team that was just 90 seconds away from a two-game weekend sweep in the Battlefords continues to be making positive strides each game.  Captain Liam Hunks a big week for the Hounds with five points including a beauty in overtime.

This Week: Nov. 8th & Nov. 9th @ La Ronge

Top Scorer: Neka Jean - 15 points in 17 games

12. Nipawin Hawks (2-11-1) -

Just a lone game over the week, a shutout loss to the Melville Millionaires spoiled a great Hawks debut from Nathan Claydon. If the Hawks can continue to get goaltending like that, the results will come. A 10-day break between games may be what the Hawks need.

This Week: Nov. 9th vs Flin Flon

Top Weekly Scorer: Konnor Watson - 8 points in 11 games.
