The Melfort Mustangs continue to dominate, but a few teams have begun to surge after another busy week of games in snowy Saskatchewan/ Manitoba.

The SportsCage SJHL Power Rankings are created by having contributors independently rank each team from No. 1 to No. 12, then averaging the scores.

1. Melfort Mustangs (16-4-0)  -

It was another perfect weekend after completing a two-game sweep of the Kindersley Klippers. The defending champs look like the team to beat early on, and the most consistent and deep team in the league right now.

This Week: Nov. 26th @ La Ronge / Nov. 29th vs. Battlefords

Top Scorer: Logan Belton - 24 points in 20 games

2. Weyburn Red Wings  (13-6-1) -

Mother nature played havoc in one game slated this past week for the Red Wings, who are looking to rebound after falling last time out to Battlefords. They have three games this week, including a heavyweight tilt on Tuesday with Yorkton.

This Week:  Nov. 26th vs. Yorkton / Nov. 29th vs. Humboldt / Nov. 30th @ Estevan

Top Scorer: Jerome Maharaj - 24 points in 17 games

3. Yorkton Terriers  (13-8-0)  -

The Terriers earned a split of their weekend games, as after a wild comeback OT win Friday, the Terriers suffered their first defeat in six games with a loss in Melville. Still playing some very good hockey, but will want to keep goals against down a bit allowing at least four in the last three games.

This Week: Nov 26th @ Weyburn / Nov. 29th @ Nipawin / Nov. 30th @ Flin Flon

Top Scorer: Jaron Desnoyer - 28 points in 20 games

4. Flin Flon Bombers (12-9-1)  +3

November has been a month of turnaround for the Bombers, who are perfect so far during the month with six straight victories. Offence has turned the corner, but they are playing well defensively too,  allowing two goals or less in five of six victories.

This Week: Nov. 30th vs. Yorkton

Top Scorer: Carter Anderson / Ryder Ringor / Koen Senft - 21 points each

5. Humboldt Broncos  (12-9-1) -

A split up North in La Ronge has the Broncos still trailing the North Stars for the division lead despite Battlefords stumble over the weekend. Consistency each night is still something they’re looking to find more.

This Week: Nov. 27th @ Notre Dame / Nov. 29th @ Weyburn / Nov. 30th vs. Nipawin

Top Scorer: Jacob Strizzi - 24 points in 17 games

6. Melville Millionaires (11-8-2-1)  -

They let one slip away on Friday, but for a team looking for wins, they should be happy taking three out of a possible four points in their Highway 10 battle with Yorkton to keep pace atop the Viterra. Consistent goaltending going forward will produce more wins. Raiden Zacharias is emerging as a top rookie in the SJHL.

This Week: Nov. 29th & Nov. 30th @ Kindersley

Top Scorer: Caden Drury - 34 points in 22 games

7.  Battlefords North Stars (11-6-3-1) -3

A second straight weekend trip down to South East Saskatchewan wasn’t as successful as it was the week before. After scoring eight times in two games vs. Weyburn, the offense sputtered with only two goals in two games in Estevan.

This Week: Nov. 26th @ Nipawin / Nov 29th @ Melfort

Top Scorer: Nikita Ivashchenko - 24 points in 21 games

8.  La Ronge Ice Wolves  (11-10-1) -

The Ice Wolves have taken advantage of a heavy home schedule in November winning six of eight games so far, and will wrap it up on Tuesday against the league-leading Mustangs.  Graham Brown and Logan Falk are emerging as one of the finest goalie duos in the SJHL, and they give them a chance to win each night.

This Week:  Nov. 26th vs. Melfort

Top Scorer: Mason Bueckert - 26 points in 24 games

9. Kindersley Klippers (11-11-1)  -

With only two wins in their last ten games, the Klippers are looking to find that recipe again that made them so successful to start the season. Need to start putting points together again quickly so they don’t fall too far away from the top pack.

This Week: Nov. 26th @ Notre Dame / Nov. 29th & Nov. 30th vs. Melville

Top Scorer:  Zakery Anderson - 19 points in 23 games

10.  Estevan Bruins  (7-9-2-1)  -

Some exceptional goaltending over the weekend helped the Bruins sweep the red-hot Battlefords North Stars at home. Ben Polhill stopped 62 of 64 shots over two games including netting his first SJHL shutout.

This Week: Nov. 29th vs. Notre Dame (in Carlyle) / Nov. 30th vs. Weyburn

Top Scorers: Ewan Rennie - 17 points in 19 games

11. Notre Dame Hounds (6-15-1) -

Quiet week for the Hounds which saw them split their two games with Kindersley last week. Homestand continues this week, with three games in four nights including a neutral site game in Carlyle.

This Week: Nov. 26th vs. Kindersley / Nov. 27th vs. Humboldt / Nov. 29th vs. Estevan (in Carlyle)

Top Scorer: Marko Djordjevic - 19 points in 22 games

12. Nipawin Hawks (3-14-1-1) -

The Hawks couldn’t follow up a three point weekend previous as they allowed ten goals in two games in back to back losses to Flin Flon. It doesn’t get much easier this week with three of the league's best on the docket for this week.

This Week:  Nov. 26th vs. Battlefords / Nov. 29th vs. Yorkton / Nov. 30th @ Humboldt

Top Scorer: Will Whitter - 11 points in 19 games
