The Regina Pats finish up their pre-season schedule this weekend with a home-and-home against the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Tonight, the Pats head to Brandon to take on the Wheat Kings with a 7 p.m. puck drop at Westoba Place.

The Pats are 2-1 this pre-season thanks to two victories over the Moose Jaw Warriors last weekend. The Pats picked up a 7-4 win over Friday in Estevan and a 4-2 win on Saturday in Assiniboia. This pre-season, Cole Temple leads the club with five points (2G-3A) in two games while Logan Peskett has goals in three straight games (3G-1A). Sam Oremba and Jaxsin Vaughan each have 1G-2A and Brayden Smith has three assists in three pre-season contests.
The Pats now have 28 players on their pre-season roster, with three goalies, eight defencemen and 18 forwards. Of those 28 players are 20 returning players from the Pats 2023-24 squad that finished 22-40-4-2 with 50 points. Tanner Howe (PIT), Jaxsin (ANA) and Corbin Vaughan (LA) are away at NHL Rookie Camps.
Meanwhile, the Brandon Wheat Kings are 2-0 this pre-season following two victories over Saskatoon. First, a 4-2 win on Friday, Sept. 6 followed by a 6-3 win on Sunday, Sept. 8.
The Wheat Kings are coming off a sixth place finish in the Eastern Conference standings in 2023-24, going 33-28-6-1 with 73 points. The Wheat Kings would play the Moose Jaw Warriors in round one, falling in four straight contests.
The Pats open the 2024-25 season on the road in Prince Albert on September 20. The Pats home opener is September 21 against the Brandon Wheat Kings with a 6pm puck drop.
