The Melville Millionaires emerged victorious in the highly anticipated clash of the unbeatens on Friday, clinching a 3-1 road win over the Melfort Mustangs at the Northern Lights Palace.

The Mils surged ahead with an electrifying three-goal period, thanks to goals from Simon Parini, Jadon Iyogun, and Cohen Swan, establishing an early lead.

Ty Thornton managed to reduce the deficit for the Mustangs late in the second period, but that was the closest they would get.

In net, Loic Morin showcased his prowess by stopping 22 of 23 shots, securing his third win of the season for the Moneymen. On the Mustangs' side, Kristian Coombs saved 19 of 21 attempts, while Madden Mulawka conceded one goal on four shots in relief.

The Millionaires are now setting their sights on a sixth consecutive victory as they prepare to host the Mustangs on Saturday night in the second half of their home-and-home series.

The action kicks off at 7:00 PM at the CN Community Centre.
