The Battlefords North Stars announced this week that Head Coach/General Manager Garry Childerhose has stepped down due to personal reasons.
The organization said in the release that no further comments will be made at this time.
Childerhose has been pivotal in the past three seasons, first as an assistant coach under Brayden Klimosko helping lead the team to a league championship and a Centennial Cup appearance.
The North Stars extend their gratitude for his contributions and team President Kyle Kellgren mentioned that the search for a new Head Coach/GM is underway.
Assistant Coach Owen Lamb will manage daily operations in the interim, with Martin Smith assisting on the bench this Saturday in their matchup on home ice.
