The defending Canadian Junior Football League champions seem poised to take another run at a national title after finishing the regular season undefeated with a perfect 8-0 record.

On Sunday the Toppers played their final game of the regular season on the road as Saskatoon faced the Huskies in Edmonton.

With the Hilltops leading 3-0 to start the second quarter, the game saw its first major when Datiel Fountaine caught a five-yard pass to make it 10-0 for the visitors. After the Huskies gave up a safety and the Hilltops had a 35-yard field goal from Teijon Abel-Douglas, the Toppers led 15-0 at halftime.

Abel-Douglas kicked a 36-yarder in the third quarter before the Huskies responded with their first major of the game to make it 18-7. Abel-Douglas added another field goal and the Huskies countered with a late major, but that would be it for scoring the as the Hilltops hung onto win 21-14.

Saskatoon has earned hosting one of the Prairie Football Conference semi-finals. That game is set for Sunday, October 13 at 1 p.m. at SMF Field.
