YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers are back to their winning ways.

After suffering their first loss of the SJHL season Oct. 6, in a rare afternoon match up, the Terriers were back on home ice tonight hosting Nipawin.

The Terriers started things with a late first period effort. Dustin Renas scored the goal at the 18:45 mark.

An unassisted effort by Thierry Laliberte 3:44 into the middle stanza made it 2-0.

The Hawks finally found the twine when Eric Hoiness cut the lead in half with a goal at 12:16.

The one goal margin held until the final minute of the contest when Jye Zawatsky scored into an empty net to round out a 3-1 win.

Callum Creig was in the Terrier net facing 26-shots in the win.

Gage Roberts faced 34-shots in the Hawks net in the loss.

The victory leaves Yorkton with a 6-1 record, and 12 points to sit atop the Viterra Division, one point up on Melville. Estevan sits third with five points, followed by Weyburn with four.
