PREECEVILLE - Hudson and Levi Maier of Preeceville each qualified for the Parkland summer games triathlon team and will compete in the Saskatchewan Summer Games in Lloydminster on July 24-27.
“They did a qualifying triathlon in Wolseley a couple weekends ago. For their competition the triathlon distance I think is to swim 500m, bike 8km and run 2km. Then they also do a duathlon (bike and run) and a relay,” stated mom Megan Maier.
Joining the Maier brothers in participating in the games are Gavin Erickson in volleyball and Hailey Spray, Ireland Zuk and Alex Algabre in basketball. Amber Spray also was selected to the Parkland team for shot put, hammer throw and javelin.
