The Canadian Football League has levied discipline against two Saskatchewan Roughriders players after Week 21 action.
Offensive lineman Jacob Brammer has been fined for delivering a late unnecessary hit on Calgary defensive back Bailey Devine-Scott. The 25-year-old dressed for five regular season games in his rookie season after earning a roster spot in training camp. It's the first career fine for the six-foot-four, 301-pound blocker.
Meanwhile, defensive back Marcus Sayles has been fined for making low contact with Stampeders' receiver Reggie Begelton and running back Dedrick Mills. The 30-year-old started 17 games for the Green and White after joining the team following training camp with the B.C. Lions. He's made 57 tackles and four interceptions while returning one for a touchdown in his first season with Saskatchewan.
Brammer, Sayles and the Roughriders return to the field on Saturday, November 2 when the Green and White host the B.C. Lions in the West Division Semi-Final. Countdown to Kick-off begins with a chance to watch Justin Dunk and Wes Cates live at 1:30 p.m. on YouTube. Dave Thomas and Luc Mullinder join at 43:30 p.m. with the kick-off to follow at 4:30 p.m. on the Co-operators Roughrider Radio Network.
