Some of the best water skiers in the world are in Saskatoon for the World Water Skiers Canada Cup.

On August, 28 and 29th skiers will launch off a ski ramp at over 70 miles per hour and leap over 220 feet, twisting and flipping on the water during the trick event and putting it all on the line as they slalom ski, throwing walls of water high into the air, all in hopes of capturing the overall title.

This stop comes hot on the heels of the WWS Salmsee Cup in Austria, where crowds witness thrilling performances with Great Britain's Joel Poland defending his 2023 tour title in a heart-stopping final edging out Canada's Dorian Llewellyn, who made a strong return after an ankle injury.

The Canada Cup promises to be an intense competition in the overall and jump disciplines.

On Wednesday, August 28 the preliminaries kick off at 3 pm featuring slalom tricks and jump events. Following the prelims, there will be a bonus round, and a head-to-head jump off of the top three jumpers competing in a knockout format for fans to enjoy, likely starting at 7 pm.

The finals continue Thursday, August 29 starting again at 3 pm with the top six overall skiers and the top eight men and five women jumpers advancing from the preliminaries. The action heats up with the overall finals, followed by the women's and men's jump events.

Entry and parking are free at the Saskatoon Water Ski Club in the North Industrial area of Saskatoon. So, bring your lawn chair, to enjoy the world's best water skiers in action.
