Hockey Saskatchewan released the provincial brackets for the 2025 senior playdowns on the Monday Nooner Podcast Thursday night.
This year, 40 teams registered for provincials, down from 47 in 2024. The overall number of Senior Hockey Teams and leagues is up in Saskatchewan this season, and some teams tend to opt out of provincials, partner with neighbouring communities, or let their league players sign with other provincial competitors.
Kelly McClintock from Hockey Saskatchewan pointed out on the reveal show that players registered with other provincial organizations aren't eligible to play in Hockey Saskatchewan Provincials. Still, a player not carded with an outside organization can travel to play on a Saskatchewan team.
The breakdown for this year's entries per division is as follows.
D- 11 teams
C - 11 teams
B - 5 teams
A - 13 teams
All first-round series in provincials must be completed by February 17th
