Saskatchewan Rush open National Lacrosse League season with win in New York

Saturday night at MVP Arena, the Saskatchewan Rush dumped the Albany FireWolves 10-9 in overtime thanks to Austin Shanks’ second goal of the game.

Saturday night at MVP Arena, the Saskatchewan Rush dumped the Albany FireWolves 10-9 in overtime thanks to Austin Shanks’ second goal of the game.

Zach Manns scored four times in the contest, Robert Church chipped in with five assists and Brock Haley scored twice and added three assists in his NLL debut.

In goal Saskatchewan’s Frank Scigliano made 49 saves in the win. 

Next up, the Saskatchewan Rush host the Halifax Thunderbirds on Co-op Field at SaskTel Centre! The highly anticipated rivalry game and home opener is set for Saturday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.
