The Saskatchewan Rush dropped their first game of the season, 12-11 in overtime against the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday night at SaskTel Centre.
In the first quarter, Mike Triolo, Josh Zawada, and Jake Naso found the back of the net, and as the teams went into the second quarter, they tied 3-3.
Clark Walter and Ryan Barnable scored before the first half ended for Saskatchewan, but the Rush found themselves down 8-5 at the half.
Despite Brock Haley, Jake Boudreau and Triolo scoring in the third frame, Saskatchewan still trailed 11-8 heading into the final quarter.
Triolo would then score two more in the fourth quarter and Zach Manns tied the game, forcing overtime on Co-op Field for a second straight game.
In overtime, Holden Cattoni scored his fifth of the game as the Wings prevailed with the 12-11 overtime win.
Frank Scigliano made 37 saves in the loss. Jake Naso won 20/27 faceoffs against Tyler Burton and Nate Fehr.
