Melville Millionaires surrender three powerplay goals in road loss to the Estevan Bruins

MILLIONAIRES 3, BRUINS 5

Luke Hogan scored twice, while Reed Gramlich netted the game-winner with 8:11 left in regulation, helping the Estevan Bruins beat the Melville Millionaires 5-3 on Friday night at home ice.

Kaelan Whittingham and Cade Kennedy also scored for the Bruins, while Simon Parini, Caden Drury, and Liam Rodman replied for the Millionaires, who dropped their third straight game.

Bruins' netminder Kyle Kelsey stopped 24 of 27 shots in the win, while the Millionaires' goalie Nick Genette made 20 saves in the loss.

The Millionaires are back on home ice on Saturday night, hosting the Humboldt Broncos, while the Bruins travel down Highway 39 for a meeting with their rivals, the Weyburn Red Wings.


TERRIERS 7, NORTH STARS 2
 

Yorkton Terriers improved their record to 11-7 on the season on Friday with a convincing 7-2 win over the Battlefords North Stars at the Access Communications Centre.

Dustin Renas chipped in with two goals to lead the way for the Terriers, who got singles from Jaron Desnoyers, Keenan Ingram, Jye Zawatsky, Aiden Knutson, and David Coyle.

Ethan Farrow kicked out 35 saves on 37 North Stars shots to earn the victory.

Braden Nienaber and Brett Boucher provided the offense for Battlefords, who’ll host the Terriers again on Saturday starting at 7:30 PM.
