SJHL-leading Melfort Mustangs extend winning streak with comeback win over Nipawin

MUSTANGS 3, HAWKS 2

Logan Belton scored a power play goal with 25 seconds left as the Melfort Mustangs erased a two deficit to sneak by the Nipawin Hawks 3-2 at the Cage, for their 14th straight win. 

Zac Somers and Ashton Hutchinson also scored for the Mustangs, while Jack Janzen replied for the Hawks who held a 2-0 lead through two periods. 
 

BRONCOS 2, BRUINS 3 


The Humboldt Broncos have now dropped four straight games after a 3-2 loss in Estevan. 

Kent Moors led the Bruins with one goal and two assists in their 11th win of the season. 
 

BOMBERS 3, ICE WOLVES 1 


Matthew Kieper stopped 27 of 28 shots to improve to 9 and 0 on the season helping the Flin Flon Bombers to a 3-1 road win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Mel Heglund Uniplex. 


NORTH STARS 1, KLIPPERS 2 


Kyler Smith had a 1G 1A night, while Kindersley netminder Brett O'Halloran stopped 30 shots to lead the Kindersley Klippers to a big 2-1 divisional win over the Battlefords. 

Battlefords goalie Justen Maric stopped 44 of 46 Klipper shots in the loss.
