La Ronge Ice Wolves earn big home win to keep SJHL playoff hopes alive

WEYBURN 2, LA RONGE 4

Taite Donkin and Owen Turner each had one goal, one assist to lead the La Ronge Ice Wolves to a 4-2 victory over the Viterra-division leading Weyburn Red Wings on Friday night.

Grayden Perozni and Hudson Cameron also scored for the Ice Wolves who not sit just six points back of the Kindersley Klippers for the final playoff spot with two games in hand.

Lucas Schmid and Matthew Edwards replied for the Red Wings who’ll once again take on the Ice Wolves on Saturday night in La Ronge.


BRUINS 2, BOMBERS 5

Ryder Ringor netted a hat-trick as the Flin Flon Bombers rebounded from their first regulation loss in 26 games, with a 5-2 win over the Estevan Bruins at the Whitney Forum. 


HAWKS 0, MUSTANGS 6

Madden Mullawka stopped just 14 shots for the shutout while Bryson Aikens had one goal, one assist to lead the Melfort Mustangs to their league-leading 35th win of the season, a 6-0 decision over the Nipawin Hawks.

BRONCOS 3, KLIPPERS 1

The Humboldt Broncos got a 32 save performance from Dazza Mitchell as they won their sixth straight edging the Kindersley Klippers 3-1.
