The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released American offensive lineman Trevor Reid to pursue an NFL opportunity.
Reid was the Riders’ nominee for Most Outstanding Rookie in 2024 after making an immediate impact, starting in all 18 regular season games as well as the Western Semi-Final. He played an integral part in the Green and White's offensive success last season.
The 24-year-old worked out for the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, and Cincinnati Bengals this offseason.
Reid played three NCAA seasons (2020-2022) at the University of Louisville. In 2021, the Georgia native started all 13 games at left tackle and 11 games in 2022. Over 24 starts, he allowed five sacks in 646 pass blocking snaps. Prior to his time in Louisville, Reid spent two years (2018-2019) at Georgia Military College, where he was named a NJCAA first-team All-American in 2019.
The six-foot-five, 307-pound Reid signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft. He attended rookie camp with Eagles and then went to training camp with the Atlanta Falcons.
