University of Saskatchewan Huskies running back Ryker Frank has been named Canada West offensive player of the week after running roughshod over the University of Calgary Dinos.
Frank was the star in Saskatchewan's double overtime win over the Dinos, rushing for a career-high 223 yards on 34 carries and three touchdowns.
The fourth-year Regina native moved into the school’s record books for single-game carries, rushing yards, and touchdowns. His first touchdown came just before the halftime, a nine-yard run to the end zone that gave the Huskies a lead heading into the break. He added a 15-yard touchdown run in the third, and a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
Frank and the 1-2 Huskies travel to Vancouver for a match up with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds on Friday.
