Yorkton Terriers snap three game skid with shootout win in Wilcox

Terriers, North Stars and Ice Wolves all winners on Tuesday night

Ethan Farrow made 41 saves then stopped all three shooters in the shootout to lead the Yorkton Terriers to a 4-3 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Tuesday night to snap their three game winless skid.

Dustin Renas scored the lone goal in the shootout for Yorkton who got regulation goals from Keenan Ingram, Jye Zawatsky and Tate Schofer.

Marco Djordjevic, Vincent Palmarin and Damian Metastasio replied for Hounds while Spencer Borsos stopped 34 of 37 shots in the loss.

The Terriers return to action on Saturday night hosting the Kindersley Klippers at the Westland Insurance Arena for their annual Teddy Bear Toss game.

 

NORTH STARS 4, MILLIONAIRES 1

The Melville Millionaires had their three-game winning streak snapped after a 4-1 home loss to the Battlefords North Stars at the CN Community Centre.

Ryan Roethke opened the scoring for the Moneymen with his 14th of the season before the North Stars fired off four unanswered goals from Josh Knittig, Nikita Ivashchenko, Colton Getzlaff and Anthony Campbell.

Justen Maric stopped 42 shots to earn the win between the pipes for Battlefords, while Mils netminder Luke Brunen made 23 saves.

The Millionaires return to action on Friday night up in Flin Flon against the Bombers.
