PRINCE ALBERT -- The Prince Albert Raiders are still alive in the Western Hockey League playoffs.

The Raiders took a 2-0 lead out of the first period and would go on to a 4-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings in Game 5 of their best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final series on Friday night in Prince Albert.

As a result, the Oil Kings’ lead in the series is now down to three-games-to-two, with Game 6 in Edmonton on Sunday afternoon.

Tomas Mrsic opened scoring for the Raiders with his first of the playoffs at the 6:17 mark of the opening frame, and Lukas Dragicevic would make it a two-goal game with a power play marker with 3:02 remaining in the period.

Ethan MacKenzie got one back for Edmonton with 11:59 gone in the second, but Dragicevic would score his second of the game and third of the series just over four minutes later to make it a 3-1 Raiders lead.

Only two minutes after that goal, Landon Hansen would score for the Oil Kings, and that would set up a tense third period.

Prince Albert would hold the one-goal lead over the final 20 minutes, though, and Aiden Oiring scored into the empty net with 1:12 to play to finish off scoring.

Dragicevic and Oiring each finished with three points on the night.

Max Hildebrand stopped 36 shots in securing the victory, Ethan Simcoe turned aside 22 for the Oil Kings.

Game 5 of the series is at Rogers Centre in Edmonton on Sunday, with puck drop at 4 p.m.
