Two Flin Flon Bombers headline SJHL Players of the Month for January

The top performers for the first month of 2025 in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League have been announced as the Players of the Month for January have been released.

Leading the way is a pair of Flin Flon Bombers, as forward Keefe Gruener was named MVP of the Month while netminder Matthew Kieper was the recipient of the Goalie of the Month.

Gruener led the way offensively in 18 points in 11 games during the month of January for the Bombers, who’ve not lost in regulation since Oct. 30th, 2024

Meanwhile, Kieper sported a 6-0-1-1 record during the month with a 1.84GAA and 0.935 SV%.

Yorkton Terrier forward David Coyle was named the Forward of the Month after compiling six goals and 17 points in 11 games.

Other monthly award winners include Weyburn’s Max Chakrabari (Defenceman), Steven Steranka of the Estevan Bruins (Rookie) and Humboldt Bronco netminder Dazza Mitchell (Sask. born Player of the Month).
