An abbreviated week because of the MJHL-SJHL Showcase, but still some movement throughout rankings in the first bit of action in February

The SportsCage SJHL Power Rankings are created by having contributors independently rank each team from No. 1 to No. 12, then averaging out the scores.

1. Melfort Mustangs (32-7-0)  -

A slight hiccup for the Mustangs on Saturday getting shut out by the Bombers at the Whitney Forum. Another big test this week for the defending champs with a four games in five nights.

Top Scorer: Reilly Kotai - 46 points in 36 games

2. Flin Flon Bombers (29-9-3-1)  -

Another week has come and gone, and the points streak continues for the Bombers which now sits at 26 straight games without a regulation loss. A big part? Goaltending and the scoring prowess of Keefe Gruener whose hat-trick vaulted him into a tie for the SJHL goals lead

Up next: Tues. @ Nipawin / Fri. & Sat. vs. Estevan

Top Scorer: Ryder Ringor - 47 points in 42 games

3. Weyburn Red Wings (27-11-2) -

A 10-2 record to start 2025 has the Red Wings up five points on the Yorkton Terriers for the Viterra division lead. A stretch of five straight in a row up north will be a good test for the Red Wings who seem to be getting better each time out.

Up Next: Wed. @ Melfort  / Fri. & Sat. @ La Ronge

Top Scorer:  Jerome Maharaj - 52 points in 36 games

4. Yorkton Terriers (25-15-1)  -

The loss of leading goal scorer Keenan Ingram to the BCHL, didn’t hinder the Terriers on the weekend as they picked up two big weekend wins to get back on track. A busy February is on the horizon for the Terriers but eight of those on home ice makes things more favourable.

Next Up: Tues. vs. Melfort / Sat. vs. Battlefords / Sun. vs. ND

Top Scorer: Jaron Desnoyers- 49 points in 35 games

5.  Melville Millionaires (22-19-2-1) -

This Week:  Sat. vs. Notre Dame

11. Notre Dame Hounds (11-24-2-2) -

The Hounds gave the Terriers all they could handle in their only game of the weekend. Playoffs are out of reach but their hard work, effort each night and goaltending from Spencer Borsos is a good recipe for them to play spoiler in the last couple months.

Top Scorer: Marko Djordjevic- 38 points in 39 games
