The Weyburn Red Wings and Yorkton Terriers continue to surge their way atop of the SJHL standings as the standings continue to tighten up even more.

The SportsCage SJHL Power Rankings are created by having contributors independently rank each team from No. 1 to No. 12, then averaging out the scores.

1. Weyburn Red Wings (13-4-1)  -

The good times continue for the Red Wings as they capture a couple more divisional games over the weekend against Estevan & Melville. Points streak hits 14 and win streak now at six with no indication of looking back.

This Week:  Nov. 15th & Nov. 16th vs. Battlefords

Top Scorer: Ethan Dekay - 22 points in 15 games

2. Yorkton Terriers  (12-7-0)  +1

Right behind the Red Wings, is a Terrier team that continues to find ways to win  with a winning streak now sitting at five after a sweep in North Battleford. Terriers hope they don’t cool off with a 10 day break between games. One guy not cooling off is Dustin Renas who has points in all but three games this season.

This Week: No Games

Top Scorer: Jaron Desnoyers - 27 points in 18 games

3. Melfort Mustangs (11-4-0)  -1

A setback in their lone game of the week and it may have been their first real off night with a loss in Flin Flon Friday night. Expect them to respond with a three game in four night home stretch this week.

This Week: Nov. 13th vs. Estevan / Nov. 15th vs. Nipawin / Nov. 16th vs. Notre Dame

Top Scorer: Logan Belton - 20 points in 15 games

4. Humboldt Broncos (10-6-1)  -

A split week for the Broncos as after a entertaining overtime win over Melville on Saturday, they followed that up with a disappointing loss in Kindersley on Sunday night. Local netminder Brady Holtvogt continues to impress in rookie season.

This Week: Nov. 15th vs. Melville / Nov. 16th vs. Nipawin

Top Scorer: Jacob Strizzi - 21 points in 13 games

5. Battlefords North Stars  (9-5-2-1)  +1

The North Stars wrapped up their home-stretch with a little stumble on the weekend against a red-hot Terrier squad. Keeping the puck out of their net is something they’ll want to clean heading out on the road for their next seven.

This Week: Nov. 15th & Nov. 16th @ Weyburn

Top Scorer: Nikita Ivashchenko - 20 points in 17 games

6. Melville Millionaires (10-7-1)  -1

It’s been a November to forget thus far for the Moneymen who’re winless in their last five with three of those losses coming by just one goal. Lack of consistency and lack of execution on powerplay has costed the Mills points.  Caden Drury continues to produce each and every night.

This Week: Nov. 15th @ Humboldt

Top Scorer: Caden Drury - 30 points in 19 games

7. Kindersley Klippers (10-7-0) -

After dropping against Weyburn the previous weekend, the Klippers responded pretty nicely with a home-ice win on Sunday against the Humboldt Broncos.  Klips goalie Brett O’Halloran continues to dazzle, becoming the first SJHL goalie to reach double digits in wins on season.

This Week: Nov. 15th & Nov 16th vs. Flin Flon

Top Scorer: Zakery Anderson - 17 points in 17 games

8. Flin Flon Bombers (8-9-1)  +1

A couple of wins for the Bombers over the weekend has them on an up-week after a slow start. 11 goals in two games is encouraging to see offensively including four from star Carter Anderson who seems to have woken up a bit after a cool start.

This Week:  Nov. 15th & Nov. 16th @ Kindersley

Top Scorer: Koen Senft - 17 points in 18 games

9. Estevan Bruins  (5-7-1-1)  +1

An encouraging win on Friday night over Melville was followed up by getting shut out by your Highway 39 rival the next night. Young squad continues to make some quiet strides, but they need them consistently to try and make some ground on the top half of the league.  Speaking of consistency, Luke Hogan has been that for the Bruins all season.

This Week: Nov. 13th @ Melfort / Nov. 15th @ La Ronge / Nov. 16th @ La Ronge

Top Scorer: Kent Moors & Luke Hogan - 13 points each

10.  La Ronge Ice Wolves (9-10-1)  -2

A HEAVY month of November had home the Ice Wolves with a 1 and 2 record in the stretch early on.  This is a big month for a team looking to make some hay, and  take that next jump to the top-end of the SJHL rankings.

This Week: Nov. 15th vs. Estevan / Nov. 16th vs. Estevan

Top Scorers: Mason Bueckert - 19 points in 20 games

11. Notre Dame Hounds (5-13-1) -

The inexperienced Hounds continue to take some positive steps forward with a 2-2 record in their last four games, all on the road.  Need continued production from veterans like Marko Djordjevic going forward to get back into the playoff race.

This Week: Nov. 16th @ Melfort

Top Scorer: Marko Djordjevic - 16 points in 19 games

12. Nipawin Hawks (2-12-1) -

Head Coach & GM Tad Kozun made changes to his roster hoping to shake things up after a tough start to their campaign. May take some time to see how the new guys gel, but the Hawks don’t have much time for that.

This Week:  Nov. 15th @ Melfort / Nov. 16th @ Humboldt

Top Weekly Scorer: Finley Radloff / Will Whitter / Konnor Watson - 8 points each
