Six teams are in the spotlight as the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced their Player of the Week recipients.
Leading the charge was Estevan Bruins' netminder Ben Polhill, who snagged the MVP of the Week title after an incredible performance—stopping 62 of 64 shots, including a 30-save shutout, to help the Bruins sweep the visiting Battlefords North Stars over the weekend.
Sticking in the Viterra division, Yorkton Terrier forward Keenan Ingram racked up four points, including the OT winner in a thrilling victory over Melville on Friday, earning him the Forward of the Week accolade.
Meanwhile, Millionaires forward Raiden Zacharias netted his first SJHL hat-trick in that same game, capturing the Saskatchewan-born Player of the Week honor.
La Ronge Ice Wolves goaltender Graham Brown was a wall, stopping 51 of 52 shots to secure the Goalie of the Week award.
Sticking up north, Bombers captain Cole Tanchuk scored two goals and three points in their weekend sweep over Nipawin, earning the league’s Top Defenceman honors.
Lastly, Kindersley forward and local talent Ethan Sautner shone bright with five points over four games, earning himself the SJHL Rookie of the Week title.
