Six SJHLers earn roster spot at Canada West Camp for 2024 Junior A World Challenge

Hockey Canada has announced the 60 players from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) who have earned invitations to Canada East and Canada West selection camp in advance of the 2024 Junior A World Challenge.

Among the 30 players named to the Canada West camp it includes six SJHLers in the Humboldt trio of Connor Miller, Oakley McIwain & Jacob Strizzi as well as the Flin Flon Bombers duo of Koen Senft & Luke Lepper and also Kindersley Klippers defenceman Jaxon Herchak.

There will also be SJHL representation on the hockey operations as well as Flin Flon Bombers bench boss Mike Reagan will serve as Head Coach, Broncos Assistant Coach Carter Hansen will be the Video coach and Lampman product Nigel Dube is the team’s Director of Operations.

Beginning Dec.3, the invitees will gather in Calgary to participate in practices and play a pair of intrasquad games as part of the final evaluation process by management and coaching staff.

The final East and West rosters will be named Dec. 5 in advance of the tournament, which runs from December 9th to 15th in Camrose, Alberta.
