TERRIERS 2, MILLIONAIRES 5
Ben Laurette turned aside 38 of 40 shots while Gaborik Carlson scored twice to lead the Melville Millionaires to a 5-2 victory over the Yorkton Terriers in Game 3 of their Best of 7 SJHL Quarter-Final.
Raiden Zacharias, Simon Parini and Brendan Olson also scored for the Millionaires, while Thierry Laliberte and William Leonard replied for the Terriers.
Ethan Farrow started for the Terriers in net and allowed three goals on 18 shots before he was relieved by Callum Creig who made 19 saves on 21 shots.
The Terriers now lead the series, 2 games to 1 and will be in Melville for Game 4 on Wednesday night. You can hear the game on GX94 with the pregame show starting at 6:45 PM and puck drop at 7:00 PM.
BOMBERS 2, BRONCOS 3 (2OT)
Zach Bansley scored 3:44 into the second overtime to lead the Humboldt Broncos to a 3-2 victory over the Flin Flon Bombers to now trail the Best of 7 series 2-1.
Kye Benoche and Marek Mamic gave the Broncos a 2-0 after two periods, before the Bombers tied it in the third with goals from Cole Tanchuk and Landon Alexander.
Game 4 is set for Wednesday night in Humboldt.
MUSTANGS 4, KLIPPERS 3
The Melfort Mustangs have pushed Kindersley to the brink of elimination after a 4-3 victory over the Klippers in Game 3 on Tuesday night.
Will Munro, Tristan Ziola, Danton Cox and Zac Somers scored for the Mustangs while Cam Perlinger, Shayne Tibbles and Zakery Anderson replied for the hometown Klippers.
The Klippers will look to stay alive hosting the defending champs for Game 4 on Wednesday.
RED WINGS 5, NORTH STARS 3
Angelo Zol made 32 stops to lead the Weyburn Red Wings to a 5-3 road victory over the Battlefords North Stars to take a 2-1 series lead.
Luke DeKay, Blake Betson, Dallen Oxelgren, Lucas Schmid and Josh Sale scored the goals for the Red Wings who’ll visit the North Stars for Game 4 in North Battleford on Wednesday.
Josh Knittig, Nikita Ivashchenko and Rylan Williams provided the offence for the North Stars.
