The Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League announced on Sunday that they’ve made a coaching change.
The team is parting ways with head coach and general manager Jason Tatarnic.
Tatarnic, who joined the organization in the Spring of 2020, was let go less than 24 hours after a 5-1 road loss against the Melville Millionaires on Saturday night.
Estevan currently sits 10th overall in the SJHL standings with a 12-18-3-1 record and sit nine points back of the eighth and final playoff spot.
During his almost five-year stint with the Bruins, he led them to some great success including helping the team win the SJHL championship in 2022 for the first time since 1999.
The organization will not be commenting further on the matter and interim plans will be unveiled in the coming days.
